The communication with Laurie was excellent. When we arrived, we were so delighted at the setting, in a very large field in Gatton Manor, it could not have been more perfect, Laurie even arranged wonderful weather for us!! We then spent over 1.5hrs with just myself, my husband, Laurie and his extended family of Owls, Kestrel and Vultures, his love for these awesome creatures is a joy and privilege to witness. They are so well cared for and we received excellent, but not over the top instructions for how to handle them. Laurie, apart from being an absolute delight to be with, has such an in-depth knowledge which he is very happy to share. It would be hard to chose just one highlight, as the time was filled with them, but if pushed, it would be meeting Dennis, the Black & White Spectacled Owl, I would say he has a personality all of his own, but that would not be strictly true, he's very laid back!!, but we just fell in love with him, how could you not. Can highly recommend this experience and I suspect we shall be making a return visit, we need to get our Dennis fix!!Verified A wonderful experience An amazing morning at Surrey Hills Falconry, where Laurie introduced us to five of his beautiful birds, especially Dennis the owl and especially Vinny the vulture! Laurie was so knowledgable and friendly, he really loves and cares for his birds. Holding the birds and seeing them in such detail, was just incredible. Then later seeing them fly to my hand - wonderful! It was a brilliant experience and I hope to be able to do it again. Couldn’t recommend the falconry experience highly enough.Verified Fantastic experience What an marvellous experience and privilege to be able to get so close to these amazing birds. Laurie has such a passion and his knowledge is fantastic. He clearly cares so much for these birds and it’s obvious they have total trust in him. We booked the VIP experience which last about 90 minutes and you get to interact with the birds and also have some of them fly to you. Star of the show in our opinion was Dennis, what a character. The stories about him are hilarious. Would thoroughly recommend this experience to anyone.
